How Chordly reads each line
- Headings name a section on their own line, like
Verse 1:, (Bridge),
Chorus x2, Repeat chorus or [Verse 1]. - Chords contain only chords, like
G D/F# Em7. A section label at the start
(Intro: G C D), N.C., repeat markers like x2, the characters
| : * . and text in [] or {} are allowed alongside them. - Lyrics are everything else. A lyric line of only chord-like words, such as
A,
is read as chords.
